To launch email campaigns, you need to specify a "From" email address, which is the address your contacts will see when they receive your emails. This address helps recipients recognize you as the sender and builds trust.
If you prefer using a free email service provider (ESP) such as Gmail, Yahoo, or Hotmail, you can follow these steps to quickly add it to your Marketing Engine account.
Click the Settings
Click Email
Click Add Senders
For Name, enter the name that you want your recipients to see when they receive your email
For Email, enter the email ID, for example abc@gmail.com
Click Save Email
After clicking "Save Email," a verification link will be sent to the email address you provided. Be sure to check your inbox or spam folder. Once you verify the email, it will be registered with the Marketing Engine, allowing you to start using it for your campaigns.
When sending emails, Marketing Engine will use its subdomains—factoreal.info or factoreal.co—as part of the "From" domain for your email address. However, any replies from recipients will still be directed to your original "From" address.
Here’s an example of how your "From" address may appear with the subdomain added.
When using free email service providers for your campaigns, it's important to be aware of certain limitations:
Lack of Domain Ownership: Since you don’t own the domain of a free email address (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail), you have no control over its delivery policies, which can impact your email performance.
Verification Restrictions: Free email addresses cannot be added to your verified email domains in Factoreal, limiting your ability to establish credibility and trust with recipients.
Delivery Challenges: Free email providers implement policies to prevent spam and scams, which can sometimes result in delivery issues for legitimate marketing emails.
To improve email deliverability and maintain control, we recommend using a domain you own or purchasing one. However, if you choose to continue using a free email provider, the Marketing Engine will enhance your email delivery by adding a subdomain to your email address.
If you already have a domain, refer the steps listed in this how to connect your email domain with the Marketing Engine article to white label your email domain and then follow the steps in this article to add sender addresses.
