# Variant Testing

Using the variant testing block, you can run tests between different templates or flows. This will help you refine your marketing automation processes further.

To set up variant testing, here are the steps you need to follow:

1. Click *Journeys*.

2. Click *Create New Journey*.

3. Click *Blank Journey Canvas*.&#x20;

4. Enter journey name.

5. Select a starting point for the journey (Trigger, Audience or Social Post).

6. Drag and drop the *Variant Testing* block and connect.&#x20;

7. Select the number of test variants.

8. Select the *Journey Starts with Audience* option and the audience size (%).

9. Select the duration of the test.

10. Select the *Winning Criteria* – between Open Rate, Click Rate, Click to Open Rate, Engagement Rate.&#x20;

11. Select which variant you want your audience to receive. In case there is no winning variant, select the variant to send out in that situation.

12. Click ***Yes*** button if you want to add the contacts flowing through the test variants to any specific list.&#x20;

13. Click *Save*.
